    What sepia does

Sepia converts the image toward brightness and then tints it with warm browns, using the classic weighting that mimics the chemical toning of vintage prints. The result reads as old-fashioned and nostalgic — nice for portraits, memories, and anything you want to feel aged.

    FAQ

Is sepia the same as grayscale?

No — grayscale is neutral gray, while sepia adds a warm brown tint on top of the brightness. For plain black-and-white use Grayscale; for a coloured tint of your choosing use Duotone.

    Does it preserve transparency?

Yes — only colours are toned; the alpha channel is untouched.
