Change a Color in a PNG

swap one colour for another · tolerance for near-matches · batch

Recolour part of an image by swapping one colour for another — recolour a logo, change a background, retint an icon. Pick the colour to replace, the colour to replace it with, and a tolerance for near-matching shades. Runs in your browser; nothing uploads.

    Getting a clean swap

Tolerance controls how close a pixel must be to the target colour to get replaced. A low tolerance changes only near-exact matches (good for flat graphics and logos); a higher tolerance catches shading and anti-aliased edges but risks bleeding into neighbouring colours. For photographs, expect to experiment — solid-colour artwork swaps most cleanly.

    FAQ

How do I change a specific color in an image?

Set the colour to change and the new colour above, adjust the tolerance, and click Replace. Every matching pixel is recoloured, in your browser.

How do I make that color transparent instead?

Use the Background tool's remove mode to turn a colour into transparency.
