Brightness, and what it can't do
Brightness shifts every pixel up or down by the same amount. It's the quickest fix for a photo that's a touch too dark or washed out. If large areas clip to pure black or white, you've gone too far — those details can't be recovered by brightening. For punchier midtones without clipping, pair it with Contrast.
