Convert WebP to PNG Online
Turn WebP images back into PNG — one file or a whole folder at once. Everything runs locally in your browser, so nothing is uploaded and it works offline. Transparency is preserved, and the output is a standard PNG that opens anywhere, including the older tools and editors that still refuse to read WebP.

Why convert WebP to PNG?
- Compatibility. A surprising amount of software — older image editors, some print workflows, a few CMS uploaders — still won't accept WebP. PNG is the universal fallback.
- Editing. PNG is lossless, so re-editing and re-saving won't stack up the compression artefacts a lossy WebP would.
- Transparency intact. WebP's alpha channel carries straight over to the PNG — no white box behind your logo.
How it works
- Drop one or more WebP files (or click to pick them).
- Click Convert & download.
- Each image is decoded and re-saved as PNG, right in your browser. Grab the results from the list.
FAQ
Will transparency be kept?
Yes — WebP's alpha channel is preserved in the PNG, so transparent regions stay transparent.
Is the PNG larger than the WebP?
Usually, yes. PNG is lossless while most WebP is lossy, so the PNG will typically be bigger. That's the trade for a universally-compatible, re-editable file. To go the other way, use PNG to WebP.
Does it handle animated WebP?
Only the first frame is converted — the output is a single still PNG. Animated WebP → animated PNG isn't supported in the browser.
Are my images uploaded?
No. Decoding and re-encoding happen entirely in your browser; the files never leave your device. See the privacy policy.
